Formed in 1994 in the city of Pinar del Río, Cuba; It´s been defined as an etno metal band due to the interesting mix of metal with elements of substracts of the afrocuban music that has defined Tendencia as unique at both: national and international scenes.
Tendencia is the most awarded metal band in Cuba and has has released threee album:
- CD-“Re-evolución” (2001)- Label System Shock (Germany) SPV - CD-“Rebeldes” (2005)- Label EGREM(Cuba) Most Awarded album with the most important awards in music in Cuba: . Cubadisco Award. . Cuerda Viva Award. . Cubaneo Award. . D´Arte Award. - CD- “Confidencial” (2009)- Label Santo Grial(Spain) Nominated to Cubadisco Awards 2009 as best Rock Album of the year.
Tendencia has toured Venezuela (2005), Spain (2007, 2008) and Germany (2009) participating at important Rock Festivals like Gilman Fest, Festival Derrame Rock, Festival Extremúsica, Rock ´n Motos, Festival Vila Rock, Festival Villena Suena, entre otros.
Tendencia has shared stages with bands like Die Totten Hosen, Barón Rojo, Molotov, Europe, Moonspell, RA, Medina Azahara, Fe de Ratas, Koma, Mojinos Escozios, Avalanch, Hamlet, Paul Gilman, Su Ta Gar, Gatillazo, Barricada, Los Suaves, Skizoo, among other.
